How it all began

My name is Laura and I am the owner, designer and illustrator of Bobby and Bella. It all began during lockdown of 2020, I designed the safari nursery prints for my youngest son Bobby's bedroom while re-decorating. I had such a great reaction to them I decided to start selling them.

The name Bobby and Bella came from my youngest Sons' name Bobby and my cats name Bella. I have an older son in his teens who is far too cool to have nursery prints named after him 😂 I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my little business venture.

I have been a professional illustrator for the last 10 years, working primarily within the greetings card industry. I have always been passionate about creating beautiful artworks and now to be able to combine this with my passion for children’s décor is a dream come true.

The process

All prints are designed and illustrated by myself. I start designing by hand and render them digitally. I tend to design small collections based on a theme to make a gallery walls easy to shop from.

I use a fantastic professional printers who send out the products directly to the customer. This ensures the highest quality of print, they use 200gsm, museum quality, enhanced matte art paper, for the prints, using fade resistant inks. For me it was really important to have a quality product. They have print labs in UK, USA, EUR & AUS so shipping is super easy internationally.

I have recently started designing fun kids cushions as well as prints. These are also printed by professional printers using sublimation print. The printing labs are based in the UK and USA so easy shipping to these areas, Canada and Europe too. I'm so happy with the quality of the cushions and Bobby absolutely loves his, so I know they're tried and tested by a little one.
